This ACADEMY is of National level, registered by the provisions of Societies Act XXI of 1860 under the Government of Bihar in 1988, presently with its Head Quarter at 206, Raj Tower-1, Alaknanda Community Centre, New Delhi. Its major aims and objectives include promotion of environmental sciences among young minds and researchers, setting up regional and state Chapters for dissemination of information on environment, to hold Annual Conference, to organise national/international level conferences, symposium, seminars, meetings and workshops on themes of environmental concerns and to publish policy papers, synthesis volumes, proceedings, journals, newsletter, transactions and other publications for the promotion of Environmental Sciences.

Various eminent personalities had graced the Academy as its President including Dr. K.C. Bose, Dr. B.S. Attri and Padmabhushan Dr. S. Z. Qasim. Prof. Javed Ahmad (Former Dean, Faculty of Science), Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi is the present President of the Academy. NESA has organized around 30 conferences and established 10 State Chapter. Annual Awards offered are Fellowships, Best Scientist, Eminent Scientists of the Year, Scientists of the Year, Environmentalists of the Year and Junior Scientists of year Awards. NESA publications include monthly Newsletter, Intl J Agrl Sci., Intl J Environ Sci., Intl J Biol Sci., Ind J Unani Med. and Environ Abstracts.

Over the past three decade National Environmental Science Academy (NESA) have been working as hard as ever to improve our services in organizing National and International events, publishing research articles in six well reputed Journals, continually meeting the demands of our authors and the wider research community. The academy mainly targets scientists, researchers, specialists, professors, policy makers and industrial experts from different domains of applied and natural sciences to learn from real time experiences, analysis, empirical studies and conclusions drawn by researchers and experts in their fields. The Academy aims to provide qualitative and updated research to its target audience. It also provides a platform and encourages the intended audience to publish and disseminate their theoretical and empirical research.

We’re delighted to be piloting online services to encourage more transparency in the submission and peer review process, to improve the content and quality of the research articles.
Our portfolio has grown since we established the organisation, and we’re delighted to be welcoming new members to the Academy. As part of our mission to expand beyond environment, academy initiated with series of Journals in fields of agriculture sciences, biological sciences and Unani Medicine and Newsletter. We’re continuing to attract more readers to our website.
